The purpose of this 'Phlog' is two fold.  First to show off some of my favorite photos that I have taken.  Second to encourage you to get out and explore your own backyards.  I will attach a google map to each photo.  Happy Exploring!

Obviously I have a thing for water.  I won't apologize though, I love it too much.  This shot was taken this morning at Codfish Falls in Placer County.  We only had a little time to hike and photographize. The road to the start of the hike is a little treacherous and 4WD is recommended.  Once you get on the trail though, it couldn't be smoother.  You follow the North Fork of the American river which, right now, is bursting with wildflowers.  After a little over a mile you cut up Codfish Creek and shortly you arrive at the falls.  We got there about 10:00 in the morning so there was direct sunlight on the falls but this shot was taken just below it in the shade.  Over all a great hike although it can get very hot and snaky in the summer.  Enjoy!
